The Happy Adrenal Mocha: What Makes It So Great?

The Happy Adrenal Mocha is made up of five simple ingredients. Our house made almond milk blended with chaga mushroom, maca protein powder, local maple syrup, and cacao powder. This is then steamed and poured over top of a creamy espresso shot. Sounds delicious right? Well not only is this drink really good, but it’s also really good for you!

Chaga mushroom and maca protein both can have amazing effects on your body and this is exactly why we call it the Happy Adrenal. Chaga is a mushroom that is found on birch trees throughout the Northern Hemisphere. It is extremely dense with nutrients such as Vitamin D, Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, and many more. All of this nutrient density is how chaga has the possibility of doing such amazing things.

Chaga mainly introduces your body to more antioxidants. When your body is loaded with more antioxidants there is a possibility of slowing down the aging process, fighting cardiovascular disease by decreasing the amounts of low-density lipoprotein - the “bad” cholesterol, preventing or slowing the growth of cancer, lowering your oxidative stress which then lowers your blood pressure, flighting inflammation, and also supporting the immune system by helping cytokines communicate which are your body’s messenger cells. It tastes a little nutty or earthy which is why it blends perfectly with the chaga in our mocha.
