Let’s Talk About Plogging (Yes, It’s a Real Thing)

Okay, hear us out: plogging might sound like something your toddler makes up, but it’s actually a feel-good, do-good kind of movement we can totally get behind.

Plogging = jogging + picking up litter.

It started in Sweden (because of course it did) and has made its way to trails, sidewalks, and cute towns like ours. You basically go for a run (or a brisk walk — no judgment here) and pick up trash along the way. Think of it as a workout and a clean-up mission. Your body and your neighbourhood both win.

It’s like multitasking, but make it eco-friendly. 🌱

Not into jogging? No problem. You can totally plalk or plik instead.

The point is: move your body, do a little good, and maybe reward yourself with a smoothie after. Preferably from somewhere with a pink door… 😉

Let us know if you spot a plogger out there — or become one yourself.

Not a Jogger? No Problem. Try These Feel-Good Alternatives.

We get it — not everyone’s idea of a good time involves lacing up and going for a jog. Maybe you prefer a slower pace, maybe you’re allergic to sweatpants, or maybe the thought of running just makes you want to lie down (we see you).

But if you do want to move your body and do a little good at the same time, we’ve rounded up some quirky, feel-good alternatives that mix movement with meaning. Bonus: you can do them solo, with friends, or even as a cute Sunday activity post-Press smoothie.

Plalking

(Walking + picking up litter)

This one’s as easy as it sounds. Grab a bag, head out for your usual walk, and pick up any litter you spot along the way. You’ll feel like a tiny superhero with a reusable glove. And your neighbourhood will thank you.

Pliking

(Biking + litter grabbing)

Whether you’re hitting a trail or biking by the water, bring a grabber and a small bag to collect litter on the go. It turns your regular outdoor adventure into something a little more mindful — and a whole lot greener.

This spring, make a difference and don't forget to grab a bag for the trash. The planet will thank you!
