Meet Edie Gudaitis: Your Guide to Transformation
If you’ve ever faced a life challenge—be it heartbreak, burnout, or just a tough Tuesday—you might have thought, there has to be a better way to deal with this. Meet Edie Gudaitis, the founder of Edie Gudaitis Wellness. She is a bestselling author, transformational coach, and podcast host. Edie has an incredible ability to sense the kind of week you’re having just by the way you exhale. Her work focuses on helping people, especially women, navigate life’s changes—those messy, painful, and beautiful moments—with grace and far less panic.

The Path to Healing
Through yoga, breathwork, meditation, retreats, and coaching, Edie helps individuals reconnect with themselves. There’s no judgment, no pressure—just real tools and genuine care. Her podcast, You’re Already Whole, serves as a gentle reminder that you’re not broken; you’re simply human. Edie walks alongside you as you navigate your journey.
Edie didn’t just stumble into wellness; she earned it. After experiencing burnout in the corporate world and enduring profound personal loss, including the sudden passing of her mother and serious injuries, she realized that pushing through wasn’t the solution. Healing was the answer. Now, she teaches others how to regulate their nervous systems, shift their mindsets, and reconnect with their bodies in ways that feel natural and nourishing.
We admire Edie for many reasons—her wisdom, warmth, and infectious energy. Most importantly, she makes wellness feel attainable. There’s no fluff or extreme measures required. Instead, she offers grounded support, big laughs, and practical tools that truly work when life gets overwhelming.
A Life of Adventure and Learning
When she’s not leading retreats, hosting her podcast, or helping someone find their breath again, you might find Edie cooking, hiking, or dancing like she’s still in her arts high school (Glee vibes confirmed). She has lived in seven cities across four countries, traveled to over 18 countries, and even bungee jumped over the Cheakamus River in Whistler. Just thinking about that makes us tired!
Recently, Edie took a trip to NYC to see Mel Robbins live. This is just one example of how Edie is not only a coach but also a lifelong student. She is always growing, evolving, and eager to share her journey with others.
Getting to Know Edie
What Inspired You to Become a Coach and Facilitator?
My own transformation inspired me. I dove deep into yoga, breathwork, meditation, therapy, and other healing arts. These practices guided me through corporate burnout, shame, self-hatred, anger, and complex grief. Now, I live a life filled with deep self-love, inner calm, and mental clarity anchored in self-trust and resilience.
I also have a strong desire to empower others. I want to help people live, embody, and embrace their truth. My goal is to create more peaceful, safe, inclusive, and loving communities where everyone feels truly alive and thrives—not just survives.
If you’d like to learn more about my story, you can read my chapter in One Decision Away, a bestselling book I co-authored with 11 other amazing female entrepreneurs.

How Do You Describe What You Do to Someone Who’s Never Heard of Breathwork?
I empower people to cultivate peace in their lives by reducing stress, anxiety, and overwhelm. This is achieved through connecting with their breath and body. Breathwork helps quiet the mind’s constant chatter and process suppressed emotions. As a result, individuals become more focused, present, and confident in their choices.
What’s Your Favourite Part of Leading Retreats?
Creating safe spaces where slowness and rest are prioritized is my favorite part. These spaces allow people, especially women, to simply be, rest, and receive instead of constantly doing or giving.
A reminder I often share in classes and retreats is:
Rest is productive. Rest is safe. Slowness is allowed.
Your body is not wired to go and do all the time. Enjoying a sense of inner calm and freedom happens most quickly when we slow down, tune into our bodies, and allow ourselves to be present with whatever we notice. This means not judging or shaming ourselves but simply opening to our experiences.
What’s the First Thing You Recommend When Someone Says They Feel Overwhelmed?
Let’s pause for a moment. Take a deep breath in and a big sigh out. Then I invite them to:
Feel your feet on the ground.
Scan attention from head to toe.
Soften areas of tension.
Bring a hand to your heart.
Take another deep breath and sigh out.
Rest your awareness in your heart space and breathe naturally for a moment. Ask your body: what do you want me to know right now?
Then listen. Often, deep breaths or a simple hand on the heart is enough for an initial sense of calm and grounding. Afterward, I ask specific questions that guide us to the heart of their concerns.

What Do You Love Most About Guiding Women Through Transformation?
Witnessing their transformation from the start to the end of the retreat or coaching program is incredibly fulfilling. It’s beautiful to hold space as clients share their “aha” moments and celebrate noticing subtle changes in their daily routines.
Microshifts often happen in the slowness and mundane acts like breathing. It’s special to see clients reflect on who they were when they arrived and who they have become throughout the process.
What’s One Tiny Practice Someone Could Start Today to Feel More Grounded?
Take three conscious deep breaths every morning before you get out of bed. Also, take three deep breaths every evening before you close your eyes to sleep.
What Does Your Own Wellness Routine Look Like Right Now?
Morning Routine:
Breathe: Three deep breaths before getting out of bed.
Moment of Gratitude: “Thank you for another beautiful day. I’m so happy to be here.”
Hydrate and eat some protein (whether it’s a protein hot cacao or a few sips of a smoothie).
Meditate and set an intention for the day: 8-20 minutes.
Movement for 15-60 minutes (free dance, walk/hike, workout, Pilates, yoga).
I always hydrate, eat, meditate, and move my body daily. I also make time to get outside in the morning or evening, whether for five minutes or longer, especially if it’s sunny. I limit screen time in the early morning and late evening.
Evening Routine:
About an hour before bed, I dim the lights and get off my phone or computer.
Make a cup of “Night Time Tea” and take magnesium.
Read a book for 15 minutes to an hour (depending on the time).
Then do legs up the wall for 5-15 minutes before rolling into bed. Take three deep breaths, then sleep.
What’s Your Favorite Way to Unwind After a Long Day?
Reading a favorite book (usually a light-hearted rom-com) with a cup of tea and gentle stretching, like supported bridge pose or legs up the wall.
What Does “Being Whole” Mean to You Now?
It means feeling at peace, connected, free, and at ease in my body and mind. It’s a sense of deep contentment, gratitude, and trust.
What’s One Thing Always in Your Suitcase?
Yoga gear and my hair straightener!
What’s Your Dream Retreat Destination?
Oh, there are so many! Hawaii and Spain are at the top of my list.

Mel Robbins Live in NYC! What Was the Best Moment of That Event?
When she reminded us not to get locked in the past or present moment. Everything is temporary, and we have the ability to change course or our minds at any moment. We have so much time to make an impact or live the life we dream of.
Sometimes I forget that too, even though I share the same reminders with my clients. I’m human and need those reminders as well!
What’s the Most “You” Thing You’ve Done Lately?
I attended six dance parties in the past ten days! Dancing fuels my soul and brings me immense joy, along with sunbathing by an ocean or lake or wandering beautiful forest trails.
